Have a question about plant design? Looking for some feedback from other members on a new technology? The RFA E-List is a valuable communication tool for members that makes it easy to ask questions and share comments with other members by just sending an email.

The goal of the RFA E-List is to provide a forum for Association members to discuss issues of importance to their business and ask colleagues questions or advice. It can be used to ask questions or post comments on any topic that pertains to the refrigerated foods business, including issues relating to food safety and technical topics.

E-LIST BASICS

An e-list is an electronic mailing list that distributes email messages throughout a group of people. Whenever someone sends a message to the list, it is copied and sent out to all the other people who are also subscribed. This allows information to be quickly passed through the group and ongoing discussions to develop among people who share a similar interest.

Once you are subscribed to the RFA E-List, you can ask a question or make a comment by sending an email message to the e-list email address.  The system will then distribute your email to all of the RFA members subscribed to the E-List. Anyone else on the list can then reply, and the discussion is off and running!

Using the E-List is easy. To ask or post a question, compose an e-mail with your question and send to the RFA E-List email address which you will receive in your welcome email. The e-mail will automatically go to everyone on the RFA e-list. Be sure to add this e-mail to your address book.

For example, if a member had a question about plant design, he would type the question into an email and send it to the RFA E-List address. Everyone subscribed to the e-list would receive that email. Anyone who wants to respond to the question would just send a reply email, which will be sent to everyone on the e-list. This way everyone benefits from the information and if someone wants to add to the discussion, he/she can just hit reply and comment. It is important to remember that when you do reply to a message from the E-List, your reply is sent to everyone on the list, so do not write personal or private information in an email to the E-List.

Currently, the RFA E-List consists of the key contacts of RFA member companies. If you would like to be added or removed from the list, please contact at the RFA office.

If you are unsure of whether you are on the RFA E-List, please check your past e-mails. When you receive a message from the E-List, it will look like a regular e-mail, but it will show the E-List’s e-mail in the "Reply to" field.

The RFA E-List has the potential to be a great benefit to all and we encourage you to get involved by making a comment or initiating a discussion. The more active the discussion, the more valuable the E-List will be.
